Located directly on Shark Beach, within Nielsen Park, Vaucluse, The Kiosk is all about easy, breezy beachside vibes. Swing by for great coffee, casual bites, or a relaxed meal. Grab and go, or kick back with a view and a cocktail in hand. In the evenings, the space is available for laid-back cocktail-style events for up to 120 guests.

The Kiosk operates on a walk in basis only, offering all-day dining and a takeaway kiosk for those on the go.

Events at The Kiosk

Set right in the heart of Shark Beach, The Kiosk is a laid-back event space made for easygoing gatherings by the sea. With both indoor seating and an alfresco area, it’s the perfect spot for everything from casual catch-ups to cocktail-style celebrations — including relaxed beachside weddings.

We offer a dedicated wedding package for couples looking to celebrate by the water, with exclusive access to The Kiosk.

The Kiosk does not cater to seated events.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • The Nielsen does not charge venue hire fees, however minimum spend requirements apply dependent on the date of the event. This means you are required to spend at least the advised minimum spend requirement on food and beverages in order to reserve a space for your event. Minimum spend requirements are available on request.

  • Yes, The Nielsen is accessible for guests with disabilities.

  • While there is free street parking directly outside the venue, on weekends and warm summer days it does get very busy. We suggest arriving early to ensure you can find a park – there is also free street parking available within a 500m radius of the venue.

  • The Kiosk is available for exclusive hire for dinner, seven days a week. Bump-in is from 5:30pm, with earlier access available upon request and prior approval.
